Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a great game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the house, unlike the majority of other poker games that players compete with other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players don’t need to fret about any other, more knowledgeable people taking their cash.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game pace, beginners can take their time and plan without needing to make quick decisions.

It’s also much simpler to wager on for a long time with just a little amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands needs to be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards face up and the croupier is given seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
