Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the west in a wonderful game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that players compete with other players. By wagering against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to worry about other, more skillful individuals winning their $$$$.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game pace, novices are able to take their time and plan without needing to make frenzied selections.

It is also much simpler to gamble on for an extended time with only a little bit of cash after all, to not win, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the casino is given seven cards face down.

One five card hand and one 2 card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
