Fix Attention on Annie Duke

Mrs. Duke might not have captured her 1st World Series of Poker Bracelet until ‘04 but she is still one of the most feared poker competitors at the ring matches at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "buried game" of Omaha hi low.

While competitors from the "younger generation" of poker go wild after a huge win at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mom" to her four children. Annie was born in New Hampshire into a family of poker competitors. If you do not accept that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to wager on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has succeeded at her cut of challenging tables, including eliminating Howard a few times along the way. They’re both players that have the skill to acquire the large $$$$$ and do so with a grin.

Annie is a tough competitor at any table considering that she is a genuine poker player, but it is a little more than just being strong at the game. Annie Duke is incredibly smart and graduated from Columbia U where she double majored in Psychology and English.

When you are seated across from Annie at the table you’ll see Annie is there to play the game and she starts "summing" you up as soon as you join the poker table. If you can not bet like a Champion, then do not bother.

Winning over three million dollars in tournament play, Annie became a consultant to both UltimateBet.com and actor Ben Affleck, who wished to sharpen his talents and develop into a power at the tables.

You may catch a glimpse of her at the Bellagio, you’ll notice Annie on the tv and you may even play against her in a net poker game, but do not expect an easy win. Except of course you’re a camp-in-the-making, you will not defeat her. Although, it’d be exciting to mention you played at the same table as "The Duke".
